Common Sports Injuries and How a Chiropractor Can Help

Common Sports Injuries and How a Chiropractor Can Help in Grand Rapids

Our chiropractic team has seen our fair share of sports injuries among our valued patients. We understand how frustrating it can be for a committed athlete to miss a day or two of training. Bigger injuries that linger only compound that frustration. Our chiropractic office has more than 35 years of experience, and we are confident we can help with your sports injury.

Common Sports Injuries

As you look for answers and treatment regarding your specific injury, it may help you to learn about the various common sports injuries and how our chiropractor can help you get back on your training schedule. Following is a list of common injuries that we treat in our state-of-the-art facility:

  • Knee Injuries. Whether from overuse or some type of twist, many athletes experience knee injuries.
  • Neck Injuries. Another common injury we see and treat is a neck injury, such as whiplash, when occurs when your head suddenly snaps back and forth. This injury can easily lead to inflammation, damaged disks and a limit to your range of motion.
  • Back Injuries. Back injuries, such as lower back strain or some type of disk misalignment, can put you on the sidelines for an extended time.
  • Hamstring Injuries. A hamstring pull or strain can cause excruciating pain and a limited range of motion.

Additional injuries we commonly see and treat include sciatica and rotator cuff injuries.
